Fun ways to pop the question to your #bridalsquad

Fun ways to pop the question to your #bridalsquad

You’ve said “yes” to your mister and now you need your sisters!

Your bridesmaids are usually made up of your closest friends and family, the ones you depend on in your daily life but also the ones that won’t bring drama to your engagement and your wedding day.

So why not show them some love? They will be your VIPs, with you all through the planning and by your side on your wedding day. They will invest time and money into getting you down that aisle. Here are some ideas I put together on ways to pop the question “Will you be my bridesmaid?”

There are so many cute cards out there that you can either mail or deliver by hand. Seeing their reaction though would be top on my list. One of these is even a scratch card.

Throw a killer slumberparty (probably been a while?) and give these cute PJs as gifts! The girls can wear them while getting ready on your wedding day as an alternative to the satin robes that have been popular for years.

For the wine loving crowd, how about a nice bottle of wine with these super cheeky labels! Then you just have to live up to what you put on there… Or, invite everyone out for a shopping day and pop the question as you hand out these monogrammed totes!

Who doesn’t want more jewelry? These adorable bracelets can be worn anytime and I love the little note saying “Will you help me tie the knot?”

Choosing a wedding palette can be overwhelming.  Especially with Pinterest to inspire and also distract us! You want something original but not too much so that you look at your photos and think “what the heck were we thinking?” I just pinned this to my Pinterest and had to share on my blog too!

These muted hues are still a neutral palette without being at all boring. It’s a truly elegant mix that would work for any season.

These were my parents wedding colours now that I think about it! And I do love those timeless weddings.

“From my very first meeting with Erica, I knew I would be in good hands.  Our 18-hour wedding day was completed without a single hiccup, which means that all of our memories are full of joy. “

The wedding planning process began almost immediately after our engagement over the Christmas holidays. We wanted to be married within the year so the search was on to find and book some key vendors. We finally chose our wedding date based on who and what was available. We had less than 8 months, but being a new bride-to-be, I was eager and excited. It was a good thing too. Steve was living in the USA so I had to take care of most of the planning on my own. However, within a couple of months of breathing and dreaming all things wedding, I began to lose steam. As I looked over my to-do list, I began to feel overwhelmed. That’s when a friend of mine told me about Erica.

From my very first meeting with Erica, I knew I would be in good hands. Even though there were many things still to do, she provided me with the reassurance I needed time and time again. Erica offered much-needed advice and plenty of ideas while leaving final decisions in our hands. She would come well-prepared to our meetings and always help in areas that we were struggling. Her relationships and experience with vendors made us feel comfortable with any negotiations. And she offers all of this along with a friendly, positive attitude. Our friends and family even made a point of telling us how much they enjoyed interacting with her.

We highly recommend Erica because ultimately we are certain that our wedding was a success because of her involvement. Our 18-hour wedding day was completed without a single hiccup, which means that all of our memories are full of joy.

“Walking in to our wedding and reception venues was surreal. Erica had somehow pulled together a wedding beyond what we had hoped and dreamed about.”

My husband and I needed to plan our wedding within two weeks to ensure a very ill parent could be a part of the day. We had the immense fortune of finding Erica Irwin, who bravely took on this challenge and knocked it out of the park. With very minimal direction from us, Erica was able to suss out our style, connect us with her exceptional vendors, and presented us with a phenomenal decor scheme. Erica used her wealth of experience to establish a work plan that we all worked off of to ensure no piece was missed during this flurry of planning. Erica also understood the immense time constraints we were under caring for a sick loved one, and went above and beyond handing many emails and texts herself, and even vendor payments on our behalf. Walking in to our wedding and reception venues was surreal. Erica had somehow pulled together a wedding beyond what we had hoped and dreamed about. We received many compliments on all aspects of our day. Almost one year later, when we reflect back on our day, we cannot think of anything more we would have wanted, and always end our musings with a, “thank goodness for Erica!”

Sincerely,

Rhea and Alisdair

Erica made my husband and I very comfortable throughout the planning process. She was so warm and welcoming from the very first time we met until the very last day of work. Her energy was very encouraging and definitely contagious. She knew what she was doing, had great connections with wedding vendors and stayed on top of it all with exceptional organization. Her charisma and passion for her job put us at ease knowing our special day was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner.
